When members of the Squadron met up at The Duxford Battle of Britain Anniversary Airshow, we took time the following day to visit RAF Debden and pay our respects to the men and women who served there.
The airshow itself was on the 76th anniversary of the squadron and the 4th Fighter Group's formation on 29th September 1942, and it was only fitting that as we were so close that we should pay our respects.
We brought a wreath with a card to lay at the foot of the memorial, which is located at the edge of the airfield.
Our CO 334th Virtue was nominated to say a few words, then we held a moment's silence in thought of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Regrettably, the airfield, still under Ministry Of Defence ownership, was in use when we were there. We were not able to explore as we would have liked.
